AUXIN

Auxin, Jotunheim, Olympians, and Steppenlocust, are four solo-audio projects by Steve Calvert. Formerly one quarter of the now-dormant Intermission Stereo, one-fourteenth of the Mercury Theatre Orchestra, presented here are selected solo-sessions with minimal secondary editing - save the moment of recording, never played before or again - as such they are not songs so much as dated improvisational performances. Primarily a bedroom musican, I play for love and practice.

Auxin are experimental improvisations in effected vox, peizo-drums and effects-loop-feedback-noise. Jotunheim are pure feedback modulations and noisic explorations in pulse, drone and glitch. Olympians is solo vocal skat with acoustic guitar. SteppenLocust is multitrack voice, guitar, drum machine and found/concrete sound. Lo-fi for the hi-strung. Dig it.
