MoSK

In August of 2005, Marianne went away to Manitoba for a month. While she was gone, Yuriko Iga asked Intermission to play an experimental soundscape show at Blim's Old Electric Building penthouse. Mok, Steve, and Khan, provisionally titling their three-quarter IM configuration MoSK, embarked to perform a limit-based noisic performance and scratch at a common formalist impulse - no prepared samples or sequences, all sound produced and reproduced live. With Brady Marks on processors, Khan Lee on effected micked apparatus, and Cdev Calvair driving his feedback loops, they produced these brooding noisic pieces in three weeks of rehearsals preceeding the show. Steve still likes them too much to let them disappear, and wishes we'd pursue more soundscape together in this direction. His new project Jotunheim will repair the hull and continue the voyage.
