Thanks and Attributions Periodically throughout the years, EventsVortical prepares a condensation of highlights from its ongoing notebooks. Transcribed and inscribed again from hand written quotations into passages of electronic text, the words lose their origins and contexts, enter a process of selection, erosion, reshuffling, reassembling - moving under magnetic compulsion to form, as meaningfully as possible, some coherent reinscription of the zeitgeist in contemporary english - a slice of all I'd been able to contemplate, inscribe and recollect that season... decompiling, recomposting the base material of thought, language breaks back into itself - literal materialization of the thought process --- deliberately excising attribution, intending to diffuse all authority including that of my own author, for instance. Reading is the organ of aesthetic sensibility. All art is thusly participatory. Reader reappropriation is the essential feedback vector of language in culture - ideas must repeat themselves to survive - phrases awkwardly remembered, thoughtforms recirculated through ears, eyes, neural ganglia, and fingertips, by one means or another, arriving in the world again, here, in these in these steaming heaps. In the past the Lateral Vector has preferred to sign it's text works as pseudonymous multiplicities, defering any assignation of personal authorship -- there is however always a respect and an ongoing interest in transmitting and chronicling the true names of significant and elegant voices from each period's available data cloud. In the interest of simplicity in presentation, the so-mentioned excessively complicating and verbose explicatory passages were trimmed from the current presentations of the texts, which are otherwise presented here misleadingly attributed to S.Calvert, under the ambiguous title ' TEXTS' - listed and linked at page right. S.Calvert must clarify the misassociation, as a gesture of personal accountability, and repeat that 'I am' not the true 'author' of these 'texts', but only one in an infinite precession of assembleurs... All available points of authorial references, elsewhere excised, are so presented here: ..............................

Devices is a recombinant text, the product of an irradiating synthesis of combinatoric models: compiled from initial hand-notation, refiltered and recomposed under a host of ridiculous pseudonyms, each eluding to Steve Calvert - who takes no personal credit nor responsibility for the text contained herein, save as arbiter for the processing and assembly itself. The opinions voiced in no way reflect the consensus opinions of the Intermission Artists Society, nor of the Events Vertical Assemblage. All passages to follow contain extensive quantities of uncited, unsourced, otherwise uncredited language material, decontextually plagarized and liberally airbrushed back together as part of the assembleur's own cognitive process. The text remains open to its readers. This aphoristic text is designed to be fractalline, holographic, redundant, and 'paratactical' in keeping with the rhizomatic systems observed in feedback technique itself. Explorations in the visual affect of these machinic procedures more or less describes the primary apparatus of this artist’s practice. In this regard, these relentlessly infolded appropriationist assemblage texts are intended to accompany in an explicatory and added illustrative function. this research was developed and conducted from 1994 to 2001 by Wynn Laverso, Veste Catverl, Lars Avenyne, and elements of the Events Vertical assemblage which prefer not to be named, these also enumerated as Steve Calvert.
